8 Must-Have Items For Your Bedroom

Whether you own your home or rent it, always make sure you have these 8 items in your bedroom! #smallbedroomideas #bedroomideas #bedroomdecor

I believe that your bedroom is the most important room in your home. You spend 1/3rd of your life asleep which means you’re spending more than 1/3rd of your life in the bedroom. Below, I’ve compiled a list of the must-have items you should keep in your bedroom to keep it functional and comfortable!

Dedicated spot for hair products:

Keeping your room clean and organized is key to creating a stress-free space. Instead of having all of your hair products and appliances scattered on top of a dresser, keep a box, bin or basket nearby to house those products. In addition to having a box for my hair products, I use command hooks on the side of my dresser to store hair appliances.

Vase of flowers:

Nothing says feminine more than flowers! Not only will they make you happy, but they also add a chic feel to any space.

Throw pillows:

No bed is complete without a good set of throw pillows. There isn’t a set rule as to how many or few throw pillows you have, as long as they complement your space and are easy to care for!

Air purifier:

Who wants to breathe in dust and dead skin cells at night? Keeping a small air purifier in your bedroom will ensure that the air is clean and will help prevent dust buildup on your furniture.

Tray:

This is such a multi-functional item. I use my tray for eating, painting my nails and even working. This is definitely a must-have for your bedroom!

Small lockbox:

It is so important to keep your items safe especially if you live in an apartment. Keep a small lockbox hidden somewhere in your room where you can store important valuables such as jewellery, passports, money, etc..

Artwork:

No room is complete without art: Decorate your walls with art that compliments your space. I recommend neutral colors such as grays, whites and ivories when picking out art for a bedroom.

Small tray for jewellery:

Make sure you have a dedicated spot for all your small pieces of jewellery you wear day to day. This ensures you know where your items are at all times and a mess-free dresser!
