Happy Wednesday! Sorry I’ve only been posting once a week this month – I will go back to posting twice a week when the new year commences 🙂
I can’t believe 2017 is coming to a close. What a year it’s been! From forming a new partnership with Sleep Number to being featured on Apartment Therapy, this year has been filled with amazing opportunities. Let’s go back and reminisce from the beginning:
I started City Chic Decor in April when a coworker suggested I start a blog. I mainly wanted this blog to focus on renter solutions and to teach others how to turn a rented space into home. A few weeks into blogging and my apartment was picked up by The Everygirl. How cool is that? (Though, I look back now on those home tour photos and cringe!)
Mid-may came along and I was contacted by Sleep Number to form a partnership. They saw I had a Sleep Number bed and valued the fact that I was absolutely obsessed with it. They are truly an amazing company to work with and I cannot recommend enough that you invest in their products.
Another few weeks rolled by and my blog was picked up by Apartment Therapy as a House Call, which later turned into a featured Home Tour. My home has been featured a total of 4 times on their site and I look forward to (hopefully!) being featured more next year.
In Mid-August I decided to photograph my first guest Home Tour. My fabulous boss at the time, Kat, allowed me into her eclectic home to capture the beauty of it.
Between August – November, I helped a friend redecorate her apartment which ended up turning into my second home tour. It was honestly such a great experience and made me realize how much I love helping others with their rented spaces. I definitely plan to feature a ton more home tours next year!
I think the biggest excitement of the year, though, was collaborating with an interior magazine. I wrote a two-page spread for them which will be on news stands in January!
Currently, I’m helping decorate 3 different apartments in NYC. I hope to reveal the final products within the next few months! A lot of great things have happened this year and I can’t wait to see what next year brings.
I wish you all a happy holiday and a fabulous new year. May only good things happen to each and every one of you this season!
