Hosting my friends and family is one of my favorite things to do. Entertaining guests can be challenging no matter where you live, but particularly difficult when your apartment is less than 500 square feet. I never let this discourage me, rather it has inspired me to think out of the box. Through years of trial and error I’ve finally found the perfect essentials for hosting a great party. I’m so excited that Chelsey has allowed me to share them all with you!
Taking a page out of the Kardashian book, I’ve become obsessed with filling my home with oversized glass jars. When living in a small space it’s important that every single item in your home is functional. It’s always a great idea to fill the jars with cookies or fresh mints. Not only does it create a glam look but it also leaves your guests with freshly mint breath!
Providing a relaxing and cheerful ambiance in your home is not only essential but also easy to accomplish. The best way to achieve this look is by lighting candles. I like to light one large candle in my living room and then another small candle in my bathroom. Baltic Amber from Voluspa is one of my latest favorites.
Music is the key to any party. I love using my speaker from Jam to cast my playlists. The speaker is small and it comes in a variety of neutral colors so it will easily blend into your home.
I’ve found that a fun way to serve refreshments is by simply pouring them into cute cocktail glasses. To add a special touch, I’ll decorate each cocktail glass with a fun straw and a delicious garnish.
Chelsey turned me onto the idea of adding a bar cart to my home and once I did there was no turning back. Not only does a bar cart add a chic & classy look but it also creates additional counter space! And who wouldn’t agree to more counter space when living in an apartment?
