Besides the floor ( 🙂 ), your dresser is probably going to be the most cluttered area in the bedroom. It’s where we fix our hair, apply our makeup and put on our clothes every single day. For most of us, it’s not just the top of the dresser that gets cluttered, but the interior of the drawers as well. But have no fear- organizing those drawers and de-cluttering the surface of your dresser can be a pain-free process with the tips below.
1. Remove all items from drawers
Before you start organizing the contents within the drawers, make sure you remove everything beforehand. It’ll be a nightmare if you try to organize while all your items are still inside!
2. Use drawer dividers
Drawer dividers are seriously the best. They allow you to easily add different categories of clothing in a singular drawer. For example, I use a drawer divider to split up by tank tops and t-shirts.
3. Invest in a makeup organizer
I know I’ve stated this before, but it’s too important not to share again! Makeup organizers will give you a dedicated space for all your makeup, helping you to avoid clutter on the surface.
4. Roll-not-fold
The #1 hack to saving space in a drawer is to roll your clothes instead of folding them.
5. Keep most-used items on top
Rarely wear jeans but always wear leggings? Keep your leggings in one of the top drawers and jeans at the bottom. This allows easy access to items you normally use day-to-day.
