Living in a small apartment, I know how difficult it is to find space for seating. I used to think it would be impossible to have large gatherings in my home. Now, I’m here to tell you it IS possible to incorporate enough seating in your apartment!

The key is to include seating which also acts as decor. It’s that simple. I used to keep a butterfly chair in the corner of my living room until I realized I was wasting space. In its place, I added a small table and one ghost chair, placing a narrow bench next to the table. The bench can easily seat two people which means I just added three seats in place of one! To add some dimension to the bench, I threw a small throw and pillows on top of it.

The next way I increased seating was by adding a pouf; not only is it stylish, but it is also small and low to the ground, which means it will never get in the way. You can easily find a pouf to match any interior style. If you have a larger living room than I do, you can easily fit two poufs inside one space.

The last way I incorporated more seating into my space was to purchase chic stools. They are pretty to look at and can act as seating whenever I need them to. They are narrow, light, and short which allowed them to easily fit. A great place to find seating like above is Home Goods, T.J Maxx, Target or Amazon.

BUDGET-FRIENDLY CHIC SEATING

Including my two-seater couch, I now have eight seats in my living room. I hope this post has been helpful and please feel free to leave any questions or comments in the comment section below! All resources from my room will be in the Shop section.
