Happy Thursday everyone! A few months ago, I decided to move the bench that was originally behind my entryway door into the living room for extra seating. Of course, this was only a temporary solution until I could find a better seating option. Fast forward to 3 months later and I STILL couldn’t find any chairs I liked! My main objective was to find something that was budget friendly, comfortable AND stylish. Why was every sheepskin chair $200+? I decided to think outside of the box and do a little DIY to create the look I wanted at a price that I could afford.
I instantly fell in love when I first saw these dining chairs on Amazon. The backs were so fun, the color was exactly the white I wanted and there was enough space under the chair for storage. Immediately ordered the chairs and started my next hunt for cushions.
Every faux sheepskin cushion I found was $60+, which I thought was ridiculous for such a small piece of fabric! I ended up walking to a fabric store nearby and picking up 1 yard of black faux sheepskin. It was the perfect amount of fabric to make detachable seat cushions!
Not only are my twin chairs super comfortable but they are so glam and fit perfectly with my interior. I spent exactly $145 on both the chairs and the fabric, which in my opinion is a steal! I plan to do way more of these simple DIY’s in the future.
