And keep an eye out for my second book, Shut the Front Door, releasing this Fall!

Moving is coming up so soon…. It’s only right around the corner! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been in the process of creating my own “style guide” for my next home. Even though I don’t know the dimensions, or quite frankly, anything about the next space I am moving into, I DO know the type of look I want to achieve.

First and foremost, I want to keep as many items as I possibly can from my current apartment. Some of those items include my pouf, wall decal, fur stools, blush ottoman and of course, ALL of my mirrors! Some of the new items will include a coffee table, sleeper sofa, and maybe a console table if I have the space.

I love my wall decal but I was thinking I might dispose of it ($100 down the drain!) and get a similar print in removable wallpaper form. In addition,  I want to decrease the amount of metallic gold in the space and add more antique/brassy gold accents.

In terms of the sofa, I was playing around between gray and white for a LONG time. I think white would have looked SO much better in the space, and would have given me more leverage with incorporating blacks, however, I just knew that it wouldn’t be feasible. It would get dirty SO quickly! Therefore, I am still sticking with a velvet gray.

I know this might sound weird but I want to mix modern glam + antique charm into this space. I l o v e both and this seems like the perfect opportunity to experiment.

More to come as soon as I put a deposit on the next apartment! Have any thoughts or questions? Let me know down below 🙂

I love the ideas for the bedroom. I want to use a smaller size bed for more space. But I don’t want it to look dinky. Any suggestions. If so thanks in advance.
