Sherwin-Williams is changing the way we look at interiors forever by offering consumers a bacteria-killing paint. Paint Shield has been proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria including Staph, E. coli and MRSA. Even though this paint was originally created to be used in hospitals, daycares and schools, more and more people are incorporating this new product into their homes.
In addition to killing bacteria, EPA tests prove that this paint will kill germs for up to four years. How amazing is that?! Consumers are saying it has no smell, covers with one coat and has zero emissions.
Even though this all sounds great, there are some questionable properties about this product. This paint contain fungicides and biocides which aren’t very eco-friendly. Experts recommend staying away from this paint if you’re looking for something more natural.
Paint Shield is currently selling for $85 a gallon which might not be so great for those budget-friendly city dwellers. Even though I’m in love with the idea of this bacteria-fighting product, I’m going to stick to my $30 Behr paint for now.
